ABOUT AT YOUR DOOR PET SERVICES

At Your Door Pet Services is a family owned business founded by Cynthia Sherwwod-Alfano of Stratford, CT.

Cindy, as she is known to friends, has dedicated her entire life to pet care. Having grown up around many animals on a farm in Easton, CT, she developed a strong love of all things animal, especially dogs!

She began her professional life with animals in high school, both working an independent school study for a local veterinarian and managing a kennel of show dogs where she was mentored by a prominent dog breeder and delegate to the American Kennel Club. There, Cindy learned the fine art of dog grooming with special emphasis on show grooming and hand stripping.

Upon graduation from High School, Cindy followed her desire of working with animals in jeopardy and became an Animal Control Officer. She would spend the next 22 years in the Animal Control profession, being named Animal Control Officer of the Year for the State of CT in 2003. She continued to work in other various positions involving animals and became an expert in many fields of animal care.

Cindy's love of animals extends to ALL creatures; she also has extensive expertise with exotic and wild animals. Cindy was looking for a new way to work with animals and decided to update her dog grooming skills and enrolled in the CT School of Dog Grooming in 2007. Having graduated a certified groomer, Cindy researched the mobile grooming field and found it to be the best option for pets, as it provided for the most comfortable experience for the animal as well as the owner. Believing that pets do best in their own homes, At Your Door Pet Services was born, providing all home services for pets to keep them both happy and healthy.

Cindy's son, Christopher is an avid animal lover who has grown up caring for all the family pets as well as the many foster pets his mom would bring home. Chris is also actively involved in all phases of the business and is a great dog walker who loves bringing his charges to the dog park! Chris is now mastering the finer points of dog grooming and hopes to expand into that field as well soon!

Our Two Dogs John, Cindy's husband, is always there to lend a hand, and son's Jeremy and Daniel hope to join in too when they are old enough!

In, the meantime, they all enjoy caring for the family's 2 Borzoi's, Scarlet and Zhivago, and 2 cats, Magic and Cleo.

At Your Door Pet Services offers a wide range of mobile services for dogs, cats, and exotics,
including grooming, pet sitting, and pet walking in Fairfield County CT.

The communities we service include Stratford CT, Bridgeport CT, Trumbull CT,
Milford CT, West Haven CT, Shelton CT, Fairfield CT, Westport Ct, and Norwalk CT.
